About
Welcome! The Cloquet Forestry Center, located 135 miles north of St. Paul campus, offers a beautiful setting for academic research, classes, professional meetings, and educational outreach. It's home to trees of many ages, sizes and species. Our northern Minnesota location is also the natural habitat for diverse wildlife. We regularly see (and sometimes study) moose, wolves, bears, lynx, bobcats, porcupines, pine martins, hares, goshawks, deer, and ruffed grouse.
We’re located within the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation and partner with the tribe on forest management and educational programming. We’re also home to the U of M Cloquet Regional Extension office, which works with the local community.
