North Homes Children and Family Services Adult Outpatient Mental Health Tierney Garver, has worked in the mental health field provid- ing services to adolescents and adults since 2013 and joined the North Homes family in Octo- ber of 2017.Tierney has experi- ence working within outpatient, partial hospital, and residen tial settings with adolescents and adults with both mental health and substance use disorders. She specializes in working with adults, young adults ages 18-25 and also with adolescents ages 14-17 who struggle with a wide range of mental health symptoms and co-occur- ring disorders. Tierney provides services in the North Homes Children and Family Services Duluth office. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness based practices and works from a strengths-based, person-centered, relational approach. Tierney has been trained in Love & Logic and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She is also pursuing certification in EMDR.
